I love my work! I am passionate about the people I help, the topics (all things healing) and most of all the opportunity to help others find ease. With one foot in antiquity, age old wisdom and healing practices, the other in the present Western, medical/allopathic technique, I see myself as a “fusion practitioner”.
In my practice, I share 26+ years of experience and training in both Eastern and Western healing which allows for physical therapy application with a wider scope. My education includes a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California and specialized training in manual therapy, yoga therapeutics, and aquatic therapy. For the past 14 years, I have honed my abilities with teachings from nationally and internationally recognized intuitives, osteopaths, shamans, somatic therapists, yoga therapists, and energy medicine practitioners. Valuing both modern and ancient healing traditions, I draw from a deep well to facilitate healing.
I firmly believe that the body knows how to heal itself AND that it, sometimes, needs a little help to“re-member”. When the body is aligned, Health flows freely; one is at ease.
In addition to treating “typical” physical therapy related issues, I enjoy helping patients who have not yet found relief with mainstream offerings.
In my work I have a keen eye for alignment. Said another way, I have a strong gift for identifying incongruencies in the body|mind|spirit complex that express as disfunction or pain in the physical body. When appropriate, I use methods based in IFS- Internal Family Systems- to address such issues & to maximize healing.
Compelled by my own life experiences and sensitivities, I have garnered and teach a wide array of tools and adaptive strategies to help sensitive people thrive in the world. I seek to help others ~ with a key focus on Highly Sensitive Persons (HSPs), empathic individuals and energetically aware practitioners~ understand and work with sensitivity to support a rich, full life experience.
